ACT IV

OLDESTATEMENT

Is a twofold micro look toward material and spiritual. Material, changing the chemical order of objects by transmuting their physical structure. Only the Alchemist who possesses the magical formula can turn lead into gold, and therefore obtain immortality. Inventors of technological tools and cryogenics for instance. Spiritual, is the inner-psyche journey of uncovering the ‘spark of light’ hidden in all created objects of the universe and integrating the Anthropos, the divine God within us all. This process is an individualized transformation toward enlightenment, and redemption. Where true eternal divinity is born. Where immortality is attained.

ACT IV NEW STATEMENT

Alchemy is a dual exploration of the material and spiritual realms. On the material side, it involves altering the chemical structure of objects, with only the Alchemist possessing the secret formula capable of transforming lead into gold and achieving immortality—much like inventors of advanced technologies and cryogenics.

On the spiritual side, it represents a deep inner journey to uncover the 'spark of light' present in all things and to integrate the divine essence within us, often referred to as the Anthropos. This path is a personal transformation toward enlightenment and redemption, where true eternal divinity is realized and immortality attained.

At its essence, alchemy aligns with my understanding of transformation in both the external world and within ourselves. I admire how alchemists employed symbolic language and allegory to convey their practices, viewing their work as a personal quest for enlightenment. While alchemy laid the groundwork for modern chemistry, it also probes into profound philosophical and metaphysical ideas, examining the complex relationship between the material and the spiritual. It’s a fascinating tapestry of concepts that continues to inspire me.
